New to Henna/Mehndi !Posted by Dina Bouldin on September 11, 2003 at 18:04:41: Greetings Everyone!I am very new to the practice of Mehndi/Henna. I've been reading the questions and responses in this forum for about a few days now, and I am very happy and excited to see this forum and website available for henna artists. I would like to share my story of how I got into Mehndi/Henna. I've always had artistic abilities since childhood, however I stop using them once I became an adult. For the past three months I've been wanting to start my own business and began searching for a business opportunity that was right for me. And at the end of last month, I became interested in Mehndi/Henna. My interest of Mendi/Henna led me to an intensive online and library search in order to find out what Menhdi/Henna was all about. During my online search, I found alot of information...more than at the library. And after I search online for about a week...I was hooked. I felt Mehndi/Henna was what I was looking for. All the information on the net was good, however, the websites belonging to CCJ, Kenzi, and Lauren...gave me just about everything I needed to know about Mehndi and Henna. Thanks so much ladies! It took me the past three weeks of researching and reading about Mehndi/Henna. And just last Sunday I did my first henna session. I followed everything that I read from CCJ, Kenzi, Lauren, and other sources as well. The design I did on the lady last Sunday, was a design I created and it turned out really good. I even had the lady call me three days later to tell me how the design turned out. dark She did! And she said it came out very dark, however, the fingers where darker than the palm. I think I know why. But not too sure? Anyhow, she liked it. I am praying and hoping that last Sunday was the start of a new and prosperous business for myself. Well, I've enjoyed sharing my story about how I got started and I hope that I didn't bore anyone. Anyway...take care everyone and I look forward to corresponding with you all again soon.
