well, i never thought of it as dumb- of course, i've only been at itfor a few years- but i do get frustrated with people's silly
attitudes towards it. "why did you draw on yourself?""what kind of

disease"-- there's a million of 'em. the worst thing i've felt about
henna is that i had no right to do it. i had one girl (and this hurt
me alot, because i'd considered her a good friend) tell me that she
would never want me to do henna on her because i'm "white" and it
wouldn't feel "authentic". i know people tend to laugh at me for
wearing bindiya, but that was just too much. when people act like
the fact that i'm "white" has anything to do with henna my blood just
boils. maybe illithiya's right, though- maybe you just need a
break. peace, nudity, and henna-
