A cure for burnout...time outPosted by sine nomine on October 23, 2003 at 09:11:45: In reply to: Might it be burnout? n/t posted by Ilithiya on October 22, 2003 at 23:01:25: : : A very respectable design on my hand right now, I thought was as: dumb : : a few days ago. You can get so wrapped up in something that you start to lose your perspective and your sense of humor. When I feel that coming on in work, school, or anything else, I try to take a few hours or a day or two away from things to recharge and realign my sights. Go do something else for a bit...it hardly matters what (bungee jumping, dry-stone walling, hen-teasing)...you'll be a little more relaxed when you get back to your regular pattern and you might find, as I have at times, that your work will seem to have spontaneously improved. It seems that some of us start to feel as you do when we're at a crisis point in developing a skill or new area of knowledge, and you have to back away for a bit to let it all settle in. sine nomine
