Have you everlooked at Royal Dalton figurines - they go for like £250.00 a piece and those are new, not antique! To me they look like mass produced, kitch (spelling)cr*p, yet people shell out for them because they have been lead to believe there is some value in them. I think the whole pricing problem around Southall/Hounslow is that there are artists willing to settle for a couple of quid for a design, so of course for everyday henna (is there such a thing?) they won't pay the prices we think we deserve! : I also wonder how some henna artists price their work - which is why : I created this post. The difference in price for bridal henna in : london range from £70 to £250 (plus travel). I can understand that : competent henna artists can charge a high amount but there are some : who charge extortionate prices for uneven scribbles. Also if they : charge £5 - £10 for a strip on the hands and fingertips then how do : they justify £150 for a full bridal (which is normally 2 full palms : halfway from half way between wrist & elbow, strips on the back of : the hands and a strip like design on the feet)?
