I need advice on hiring people...Does this sound like a fair deal?Posted by Erika on December 8, 2003 at 14:21:44: Last year I worked as a volunteer at a local India Fest. This year(because I have a friend on the committee) they know that I have students who will work with me and they have agreed not to do a henna volunteer tent if I will set up a henna tent. The only competition is a couple of artists from Orlando. I'll probably have 7 or 8 of my students working with me. I'm providing all of the henna and supplies, as well as drinks, etc...All they need to bring is themselves. I'm paying the $300 booth fee. It's rather steep for a one-day event, but I know that we'll make it back easily. The henna tent at the India fest has non-stop lines all day, no matter how many henna artists are working. I'm planning on giving the people who work with me 40% of what they bring in. Does that seem like a fair cut? For most these people who are working with me, this will only be their first or second professional henna gig. Thanks for any feedback, Erika
