what we doPosted by samantha on December 8, 2003 at 15:32:47: In reply to: I need advice on hiring people...Does this sound like a fair deal? posted by Erika on December 8, 2003 at 14:21:44: Hi ErikaAt festivals we work if anyone wants to join us then we expect them to pay thier share of the pitch fee (1/3) They then work from our books and charge our prices and if they have their own then we pool the books and go from there. The artists keep what they earn. We have a rota which makes it fair but if anyone get a client with a design they are not confident in then they pass them on. This way we all get a 'slice of the pie' so to speak. We have had artists with us in the past who have ignored this and it has caused bad feeling.. not something you want when working together - It also helps if you get on in the first place LOL.. Another thing as the artists are going under our business name we expect them to follow the rules we set. One of them is that you will not henna any children 6 and under if the parent insists then an explination of immune systems not being mature until age 6 etc...if they still insist then ok but it's the parents responsability. The main rule is to work hard and have a bloody good time.. HE HE roll on the Henna season.... Samantha
