Re: Very fair i would do it :-)Posted by Amy :-) on December 10, 2003 at 09:48:27: In reply to: I need advice on hiring people...Does this sound like a fair deal? posted by Erika on December 8, 2003 at 14:21:44: It is more than fair , you have to provide everything and yourputting the money up front. What if it rains , and the crowd is not good. Yyou may not make anything after expenses. And the artist has no financila risk. i think its fair. Amy :-) : Last year I worked as a volunteer at a local India Fest. This year : (because I have a friend on the committee) they know that I have : students who will work with me and they have agreed not to do a henna : volunteer tent if I will set up a henna tent. The only competition : is a couple of artists from Orlando. I'll probably have 7 or 8 of my : students working with me. I'm providing all of the henna and : supplies, as well as drinks, etc...All they need to bring is : themselves. I'm paying the $300 booth fee. It's rather steep for a : one-day event, but I know that we'll make it back easily. The henna : tent at the India fest has non-stop lines all day, no matter how many : henna artists are working. I'm planning on giving the people who : work with me 40% of what they bring in. Does that seem like a fair : cut? For most these people who are working with me, this will only : be their first or second professional henna gig. : : Thanks for any feedback, : Erika
