Use Mehron Metallics to Ornament Henna Paste and Henna Stain.

blings

I mention products by name when I have personally found them to be safe and effective.

materialsUse Mehron Mixing Liquid and Mehron Metallics to ornament henna patterns, both paste and stain.

Mehron Metallics have four colors, silver, gold, copper and bronze.  They really are powdered metal, and they may tarnish over several days in contact with your skin. The silver tarnishes least, bronze tarnishes most.

Patterns from Persian engraved silver and illustrated manuscripts adapt well.

start with patternApply Mehron Metallics with Mehron Mixing Liquid and a fine brush. The mixing liquid is not waterproof, but it will stay in place through a few very light washings.

Begin by applying henna paste to the skin.  Plan the spaces that you think would be lovely with metal.

Pour a little mixing liquid into a shot glass. Put a little metallic powder on a white plate.

Make your metallic body paint by dipping your brush into the mixing liquid, then into the powder with a fine brush.
Paint in goldPaint the metallic body paint into the the henna design, just as if you were painting with ink or thin paint.

When you need more paint, dip the brush back into the mixing liquid, then the powder, and stir up a little paint onto the plate.

all the metalsDon't throw away the metallic powders on the plate.  Save them for next time.  Leave them on the plate, cover it, and put the plate somewhere that it wil not be disturbed.

Clean out the glass of mixing liquid in case someone gets silly.
