"Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened.
Don't open the door to the study and begin reading.
Take down a musical instrument."

Jalal al-Din Rumi

what music would you like today?

L'Essentiel
Alabina
A fabulous blend of Arabic and Spanish! This music appeals to the gypsy in me and intices me to dance. Upbeat, interesting music that's quite different. Marsha's pick.
Hookah Cafe
Various Artists
Great exotic mood music that takes you away to smokey clubs with different foods, different languages and bellydancers! Tilala II by Moroccan Spirit was our dance music in Vegas 2006. Marsha's pick.
Jalilah's Raks Sharki 6
In A Beirut Mood
Raks means dance and is Raquel's choice of Egyptian music. This is the more orchestrated music. It speaks of beads, veils and zills! Many of today's dancers use Jalilah's Raks Sharki. Lovely intriguing music!
Ayeshteni
Natacha Atlas
We both love this one! Home, car we always listen to it! "I Put A Spell On You" is one you must sing along with! Beautiful, interesting music with songs in Arabic and in English. She has a very interesting voice that moves you to dance.
Talakik
Hakim
Great, wonderful, exciting music by one of the top male singers. We dare you to sit still! We love this music! Marsha's and Raquel's pick for Arabic music with heavy back beat that makes you want to dance, dance, dance!!!
