I have done that...a om and lotus on the crown of a freshly shaved head...BUT...the skin is much too thin and oily to take henna worth a durn. It did, though provide an excellent sunblock, so the gentleman for the next several months had a sort of reverse henna that looked a bit like a yarmalke. He embellished it nightly with paint and glitter at his coffee-house job. Now...if you did something tribal that you wanted in reverse...hennaed and spent the next several days in the sun....ok but still no great shakes. It tends to look more peculiar than excellent. Also...if you go ahead with it (was there a potentially lethal pun there?) do so indoors if you do a NS and Liquid Latex wrap...as the latex is also a complete sunblock and may leave a bizarre shadow..... Honestly...this might be a better opportunity to explore Temptu.
