I have been doing the occasional henna design on the back of my
daughter's hands and top of her feet since she was five with no
problems. I would recomend doing a small patch test for allergies
first. I usually do little designs, butterfies, flowers and such,
something easy to do with not a lot of detail since she will only sit
still for so long. New skin applied after she uses a hairdryer to dry
the paste (so she can control how hot it gets while drying) and left
on for a hour or so gets her a decent shade of brownish-red. Hope
