I emailed Amy @ Castle Arts and she said she had completely run out of henna when she got this new shipment. Also that she always gets her henna from the same supplier, so if you order from her now you WILL get the same fab raspberry-chocolate-staining henna which has made Catherine weak in the knees. I can't wait to try it.

P.S. Odd thing - I posted earlier about this fresh henna I received from a friend of my Mom's & how it just looked OK when I first removed the paste, but got wonderfully dark after 24 hours. Well now all my henna is doing that. Even my old Castle Arts. A so-so result from paste applied Sun night is now deep burnt siena. I must be doing s/thing different. More heat? I don't think I've warmed them more than usual & the weather here is cool. The last couple times I added some leftover Earth Henna solution to my paste, but I don't think I did that with the fresh stuff. Port wine? I don't know - I've stopped keeping track like I did when I was a beginner. Hmm. Did this new Castle Arts stuff go dark right away, or did it start out lighter & take time?

And what will I do with all my time when I don't have to concoct elaborate recipes of mysterious liquids because my new henna stains dark with only bottled lemon juice?? Henna more, I guess!
