I will add my experience as more evidence that the word is out on
black henna. I just went to a free henna demo, a promotion for a new
henna kit. When I told one of the artists that I got a design to go
black on my mom's feet (using the C.A. henna), she gave me a lecture
about PPD. The black I had achieved was actually with natural henna,
which was good enough to produce a very deep stain on very callused
feet, but I was pleased to hear her educating people about the serious
consequences of PPD black.
