I suspect that ability to penetrate skin is also what makes it
potentially hazardous. Every camphor product I've looked at in the
last week has some stern warnings, and those website warnings
should not be taken lightly. I do remember many years ago children
were attracted to the camphor used to repel moths and occasionally
needed serious medical help after ingesting them. I'd certainly abide
by the with the "never on broken skin, never near eyes, never on
children, external use only" warnings.
