: Something else to consider is that during Ramadan you are usually
: eating as much as you would normally, just on a different schedule.

Understood - but I've read that breath & odor can change, at least at
the beginning, and that the diet is usually a bit different- more
restricted, to support the contemplative nature of Ramadan? Wonder if
henna is different on people eating vegetarian than when the same
people eat omnivorously...I know, I'm not likely to find out. Doesn't
stop me from wondering.

: I broke my fast at 4:30 (or later) with a very small meal, then ate
: dinner at 9 pm, maybe a snack around midnight and then ate breakfast
: at 5:30 am (can't get through the day without coffee, and so got up
: at this awful hour before the sun rises to eat a little toast and
: have my coffee). I am not at all sure how that schedule would make
a
: change in the composition of your skin. Anyone have any ideas?

No idea how, but the wake-sleep schedule surely affects skin cell
formation. It may not lead to a change in how henna takes, though.
Gosh, an easier experiment might be to find a soon-to-be father and
try henna before birth and during the first few months, when his
wake-sleep schedule is almost certainly altered (but without the other
chemical differences you'd expect in a new mother).
