1st try problem!

I used a small plastic bottle to apply the henna and it started clogging up after awhile. I kept trying to clear it with a needle but it would clog right back up. I sifted the powder (not lumpy) and I'm sure my paste was the right consistancy! I saw a suggestion somewhere, but I can't find it now. All in all I guess my 1st application went pretty well except for that one problem. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
