I am not sure from which country you teach, but here in Canada the
children are only in school for 5.5 hours a day. In my opinion they
do not do enough learning about Canada, without trying to squeeze
India in there. My kids learnt about China, Mexico, South America,
all before learning about their own country.

The first time I was in India I spent Holi in Bombay, it was a gas.
Loads of fun and loads of colour and no one is exempted from getting
hit.
