Myst,

You are asking the age old question about henna. And I think the
answer is to experiment with different options until you find one
that works for you. I agree with your decision about Mud...you may
be eating up all your profits with expensive supplies, and if you
raise your prices to cover your costs, you may scare away potential
customers. Making your own paste gives you a way to control your
costs, but you will have to find a way to convince customers of the
need for heat and a wrap. Maybe you can get pictures to show them
how their henna will turn out if they don't use the wrap.

If you are interested in a henna source, drop me a line...I am
bringing back some fresh stuff from Morocco. This stuff is so finely
sifted that you won't waste time sifting it yourself...just mix and
go. That way, if you pay for 100grams you will get 100 grams; you
won't have to throw any of it away in the sifting process. A link to
