Hana, That depends: Do you use a commercial henna rinse? Or a paste or solution that you mix up using actual henna leaves? If you use a commercial henna rinse, probably not. I'm told that all that they are a hair coloring which contains some natural henna extracts, but they only serve as moisturizers. The color is produced by a synthetic dye. If you use an actual paste or solution made from scratch from leaves of the henna (lawsonia inermis), then you're on the right path. The general recipe for skin-dyeing henna is henna, lemon juice, and if you want, some cloves. If you could specify what exactly you use, we could tell you more definately. ~P.J.
