Henna and CopperPosted by P.J. on March 25, 2000 at 21:37:38: Greetings and salutations!! Recently, a friend told me something that didn't quite ring true: they claimed that they had hennaed their hand and forearm (that I believe . . . I saw it), but they claimed that on the areas where they wore a whole slew of Tibetan jewelery made of copper, the tattoo oxidized to black. That sounds too good to be true, but I thought I'd bring it up because A.) I am REALLY in a rears with time and can't perform any experiments at the moment and B.) I know that they say you shouldn't mix henna up using anything made from copper. Why is that? Does copper really affect the design? ~P.J.
