Metallic salts can affect the uptake and end color of a dye.

Metallic salts can be left on the skin from a pile of jewelery.

If you apply henna on one arm and then the next, the dye uptake may be
different because the warmth of the hand on the cone will affect dye
release.

Copper is highly reactive ..... so it may contribute to staining ...
but not change the stain to a great extent in the long run.

Arms which wear a great deal of jewelery may be slightly warmer, and
that can affect henna uptake.

So ..... there may be an effect because of either chemistry, abrasion
on the skin, or warmth .... but the effect should be tested more
closely and extensively before coming to a conclusion.
