Weird "pruning" of skin after shower, reverse of Henna pattern

Maybe this is just the first time I've noticed it and it's been happening all along, but I just got out of the shower and found that my palms pruned in the areas between the lines of henna on my skin.
This is the remnants of a 4-week old design, only visible in the really tough areas, like heel of the palm and the area of the palm just below where the fingers start.
Kind of an odd sensation, being able to feel the reverse of a design!
Has this ever happened to anyone else or am I just the weirdo?
