Honey also slows down the dye release (because it's a anti-bacterial
or something, CCJ could tell you) so you can tack a couple of extra
days on the time your henna paste will last.

I always add the honey just before I use it. Once when I mixed it in
24 hours before using it, the stain was pathectic. Figured the honey
must have put my paste into suspended animation...
