I was reading through the posts and I was encouraged to see that "forum etiquette" was addressed (in one way or another) several times recently, along with a few scattered, humble apologies. I stopped posting questions to this forum several months ago solely because of this reason.
When I stumbled upon the Henna forum I was very excited to find a place that quenched my thirst for knowledge on the henna subject. Although most of you answered my questions in a welcoming, friendly manner, some of you chose to respond with subtle and sometimes blatant sarcasm.
Yes, feelings DO get hurt, no matter what your age or maturity level...I don't think anyone that posts a question is looking for "a warm and fuzzy" response, but ever heard of common and mutual respect...ya know...treat people the way YOU want to be treated?
Unfortunatly I have witnessed (and received) posts greeted with sarcasm, humiliation, and down right meaness. There is no excuse for that. I am an intelligent, educated person...an adult that successfully contributes to society and I don't deserve to be made fun of...nobody likes to look like the class idiot. "We" come to this forum for guidance, and informative, RESPECTFUL conversation. Yeah, I am interested in your knowlege and I'm very gracious with your willingness to share this henna wisdom, but at what expense? I'm not interested in being a catapult to boost your ego...so like my daddy used to say...."if you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything at all" this from a VERY WISE man.
I was really hoping my experience in here would be a positive one and it would have been nice to make a few friends. I do wish to say thank you to those who DID greet me with a smile, this post wasn't intended for you and my apologies if it offended anyone. It's merely an observation from an "outsider" who's feelings WERE hurt.
