: Nothings working. i'm not getting a good stain on customers, and if I dont get a good stain on customers no one will want to come get henna from me. What is your henna source and recipe? And how long do you leave the henna on? How do you wrap? These all can make a huge difference in your results. I think your problem may be that the henna and the skin under it are getting too dry. If there is no sweat/moisture, it won't keep staining. Of course, if there is too much moisture, especially without a good fixative, the henna will get messy. I "fix" my henna with either super-gooey lemon sugar or new skin (and I've tried the facial mask too), and I wrap in cotton, then TP, then plastic wrap. The plastic keeps the heat in, and makes you sweat. The cotton keeps the henna in place, and absorbs the extra sweat. The TP just makes the whole thing neater. If you are doing a lot of henna on body parts that aren't the hands and feet, that might be a problem too. It seems that henna mixed with stinky oils may help improve the take on these areas... at least, that's my theory, since premix henna seems to take well on places like upper arms and tummies, and premixes have lots of eucalyptus oil in them generally, or camphor or terpinol.
