Interesting! I understand the lawsone dye is insoluble in water somaybe it dissolves in polar solvents better. Maybe the terpenes help
the lawsone molecule to penetrate the skin. I will definitely get
some camphor and menthol and do some experiments.
Right now I am experimenting with titanium dioxide to see if it the
anti-oxidant properties help to preserve the paste. Seems to help.
I kept a carrot bag full of paste in the refrigerator overnight and
it stained rather nicely the next day.
