For me, sifting the powder was only part of the answer to avoid
clogging.

I also filter any liquids(besides water or oil) that I might add to
the mix through a paper coffee filter. I have a cone to be used for
individual cups of coffee which takes a #2 paper filter. Both are
available here in the coffee sections at grocery stores. Fresh lemon
juice particularly needs to be filtered.

Once I started filtering the liquids, my clogging problems were over.

As long as we're talking about sifting, I'll mention Castle Arts'
Fred-O-Matic 200 sifter. It's great! You can see it on their
website and Amy will send it to you promptly when you order it.
