I used Halawa Henna initially. The first time I used it the stain
was really, really dark - brilliant colour, but the cone just split.
Every other cone split too. So then I tried to mix it and put it in
a bottle, rather than throw it all away. But the colour was
absoluted non-existant. The weird thing is I'd bought it all at
exactly the same time, obviously the quality varied a great deal
(Unlike Matthew's Henna Mud which is always fantastic!!!!! I love
it!!).

Lynn ps. Love the idea of a Henna the Belly Party - might put it on
my business cards and see if I get any takers because it sounds like
great fun!!

: : Since Halawa henna has gone out of business, maybe this kit she
had
: : was very old and thus the henna was stale. This is my take on
: : thesituation...I have never used Halawa henna so I can't speak
from
: : experience
:
: She had stored the unopened kit under her bed (cool room). I did
: check the powder when we opened the kit and the color was still a
: nice green.
: Still, I find this to be the bizarrest experience. I have used bad
: henna powder that was brown before and still had a faint stain
after
: 5 days. On her, with the Halawa stuff, it was like it was never
even
: done.
: Blessings,
