While I tend to make my own "carrot" bags (using plastic freezer bags,
a book, and a lighter), it seems that this would be applicable to
standard carrot bags and maybe even rolled cones.

If you like the precise tip of a Jac bottle and the control/ease of a
bag, try this:

Most mechanical pencils have little metal tips in a plastic housing
which screws off of the pencil. Screw it off, push the lead out, cut a
larger opening in the bag and friction-fit it in. As a bonus, most
mechanical pencils come with a little wire which perfectly fits the
tip and can easily be used for cleaning clogs.

The real benefit as I see it is the ease in getting the small opening;
I'm constantly either not trimming off enough on the bag to prevent
clogs and invariably trim off too much. Or, I'll get a clog and
squeeze it out, stretching the hole. Or I'll get a clog and it takes
forever to stick a pin in it (maybe I should lay off the coffee?
*grin*).
