As for your question about pregnancy & henna, if you talk to the artist before the paste is mixed up, they can mix it with only lemon juice (and sugar if you like). That is all that is needed for a good stain if the henna is a decent quality, and then there are no extras in the paste to worry about. The henna itself is pretty much as safe as you can get, I won't say 100%, because nothing is perfect, but usually if there's a problem with skin rashes or other effects, it's from stuff added to the henna, not the henna itself. I have henna'd pregnant bellies and just made sure that there are minimal or no extras in the paste, only lemon juice & sugar. Congratulations & enjoy! Jen in BC (where are you?) PS -I tried to send you this note as an e-mail, but your hotmail address didn't work. : I have recently found out that I am pregnant (I'm now about 5 : months). I've been wanting to get a henna design on my forearm for a : long time, but have been hesitating because of the pregnancy. : Looked through the Forum to find more info on henna and pregnancy but : couldn't find anything except for a bit on 01/13/99. : Any new info? : Really wanting to do this soon... : Jen from Canada
