Sorry if you felt stomped on. This forum is primarily a home for
henna artists, and sometimes they forget that not everyone approaches
henna in the same way.

There are indeed many different grades of henna, and henna sold for
hair is usually of a lower quality than that best suited to skin
dying. If I remember rightly, it has something to do with how far up
the plant the leaves are picked from. Like tea leaves, the best ones
come from the top of the plant. Someone please correct me if I'm
wrong about this!

I should add that I have no knowledge of M D H henna, so the above
should not be taken to imply that I am expressing an opinion about
it's source, quality or intended usage.
