Experiment suggestionPosted by Kenzi on May 2, 2001 at 22:49:49: In reply to: henna testing layout for Sirius Rising Henna Conference posted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on May 2, 2001 at 20:16:06: I am eager to participate in the experiments and see the results.Nothing like cold hard facts! I have one little suggestion for testing the essential oils which may make a difference in the outcome. There are some oils, like eucalyptus oil, which affect the entire area of skin around where they are applied. So if you apply one paste with eucalyptus oil on the skin next to paste without eucalyptus oil, the oil heats (or draws blood to) the entire area which would result in both henna pastes giving the same stain. A more accurate test would be to try the paste with eucalyptus oil on one foot and then the paste without it on the other foot and then compare the resulting color. I don't know if this would be true for other oils, but it couldn't hurt to test the oils on separate body parts to be sure.
