All thepeople : here who posted saying that they have tattoos AND do henna are women. : And these women were "attacked" or "challenged" by male tattoo : artists. This leads me to believe that the tattoo vs. henna thing is : all about macho attitudes, looking down one's nose at the tradition : that doesn't require a belt of whiskey and nerves of steel. I have : found the same thing in my henna work; I talk to lots of tattooed : women who love henna but the tattooed men feel they have to argue with : me and challenge me. Well Kenzi, I think you may have struck the right chord there. The majority of tattoo artists that I have met have had the macho attitude. Only one has been truly 'cool' and that is the man who did 4 of my tattoo's. It must be because the ink and needle are some sort of badge of pain that they feel they must live up to. Obviously women couldn't begin to understand that! lol...dripping sarcasm here! Blessings, Willowhawk
