I just bought some tea tree oil at WalMart. The brand is Spring
Valley and the back of the bottle reads: The Australian standard
requires that oil of Melaleuca alterifolia must be composed of less
than 15% cineole and over 30% terpin-4-ol.

It goes on to say that this brand exceeds the level of quality
standard. I have two questions, what is cineole and is it harmful,
and is 30% terpin a good enough level to get a darker stain?
