Real "red" henna basically comes from using the fresh plant. All
those beautiful Indian pictures of bright cherry-red henna? Fresh
plant. The only time I have had anything close to this color was from
henna brought back for me from India by a friend. (and it did darken
beyond that red, I only had bright red for a day.)
I know Bunny has had some quite red results from Iranian henna, and
I've seen some of Kenzi's pictures that look very red.
