: As some of you might or might not know east on wast website is
under
: construction. whilst i was thinking about it and our trip to Oxford
: tomorrow etc; i began daydreaming of the wonderful design CCJ will
(i
: hope)do on my hand/foot etc. Then i thought of taking pics of it
and
: putting it on my website. Then this question came up.
: Who owns that piece of work? is it the artist or is it the person
who
: has the design on them?
:
: MMMM

It would be a joint ownership up to a certain level....this is quite
a good one actually.

1. The design is copyright of the artist
2. The canvas is owned by the client...so therefore they have in fact
bought a copy of the design
3. The client has rights to that canvas only....so therefore is not
allowed to reproduce it without consent

its like buying a painting.....that copy is yours but you dont own
it....you cannot reproduce it without permission.

So on a website.....you need consent to use it from the artist whos
painting you or anyone else. Even if its a original one off piece its
still artist copyright.

hehehe....i liked this one this was quite interesting!!!
