Eagle Black HennaPosted by Jewel on May 12, 2001 at 21:39:58: In reply to: Death From an Allergic Reaction: More Damage Control For Henna Artists,Unfortunately posted by Lynn on May 12, 2001 at 17:53:41: I heard about this unfortunate news sometime early this week. EagleBlack Henna is extensively sold in Singapore as hair dye. I've never used it personally as hair dye though (I used to henna my hair using Jamila). I can easily get it in Little India but I doubt there are much useful information I could get from the box (or anyone) if there is anything sinister involved. Love & peace, ~Jewel~ : I worked a fair last night and numerous people came to me to tell me : about an article they read in the Pasadena Star News about a lady who : died, as a result of an allergic reaction to henna. As you can see : from the article http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/s-Asp- : bin/link/Link.asp?puid=1397&spuid=1397&indx=855613&article=on&URL=http : ://www.pasadenastarnews.com/s-asp-bin/ref/index.asp?puid=1397 This : is not great press for us. My own feeling is the asthma attack was : more likley induced by the powder (dust) than the aplication. But : the damage has already been done. I'm not familliar with this brand, : so there's no telling if something more sinister was involved. Just : thought you would be interested in this. Sorry about the double : post,I hit the the enter key instead of the Shift.
