: I worked a fair last night and numerous people came to me to tell
me
: about an article they read in the Pasadena Star News about a lady
who
: died, as a result of an allergic reaction to henna. As you can see
: from the article http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/s-Asp-

: ://www.pasadenastarnews.com/s-asp-bin/ref/index.asp?puid=1397 This
: is not great press for us. My own feeling is the asthma attack was
: more likley induced by the powder (dust) than the aplication. But
: the damage has already been done. I'm not familliar with this
brand,
: so there's no telling if something more sinister was involved.
Just

Have never come across this henna but as it was black henna she was
using then it is likely it either contained ppd...a form of ppd or
bleaching agents which are just as bad!

The coroners report would never hold any weight against henna itself
as this was made on the account of her last words. What springs to
mind is how they can blame this on henna...but miss out the fact that
the henna was mixed with ppd or some other know toxic substance.
