I too understand a lot better the methodafter seeing the pictures, I guess I am a pretty visual type person. I found another handy little tool for mixing my paste which usually results in really smooth lump-free paste. Its a little cocktail whisk, a mini version of the whisk you can get to hand whip eggs or batter or what have you when you're cooking. There is a miniature version that they sell for miking drinks and such, and you can usually find them in the utensil aisle at the supermarket or Wal-Mart or just about anywhere. I've even seen them in liquor stores! I keep one in my kit along with my measuring spoons and the like, and I havent had a clog or a lump since I started using them!
