: I came home from a rough mother's day woodland adventure with my
four

in
: my van...have the towing guy come and charge me $50 to get them
out.
: I finally got the kids all ready for bed and decided to check my
: email before I called it quits for the day. I answered several
: emails, but then I opened this particular one, and I have this
awful
: pain in my chest. Maybe I am just asking for more hurt feelings,
but
: I am also looking for a little support from fellow artists. Do you
: guys ever get email like this? How do you handle it if you do? I
: feel crushed, and I may be having a weak moment...who has extra
time
: to do this kind of thing? And why would they want to? Here is
what
: the email said:
:
: "Hi, I found ur website through a searchpage. I am actually looking
: for henna desings. Now that I have seen ur page, I really believe
: that I don't have to search any further. Thats because I can do
: better. Ur page has given me the the strenth to believe that I can
do
: beatifull henna myself. I don't need websites like urs. U haven't
: seen what henna can really do dear!! U haven't seen the world yet I
: guess. Believe me, the designs on this website r nothing compaired
to
: that what I have seen and even designed!! pls leave henna excuse
me,
: MEHNDI in the hands of the experts.
: Thank you."

: This person left their email address, I won't post it here..but
why?
: Do I ignore this? Respond and say what? Gee whiz...I could use
some
: feedback. Do I suck that badly? Thanks everyone.

I want to thank everyone for your responses. When I first began to
research henna five years ago, I was most impressed by all of the
wonderful artists out there, and the joy that seemed to go hand in
hand with this art. It is so much about human connections, with so
much positive energy flowing around and through the entire "henna
experience" as I like to call it. It is so sad to see that this
person is missing out....that email has been deleted. A new day!

Thanks to all of you for being wonderful henna artists, wonderful
people, and for your contribution to this art form through your
participation in the forum, and thanks so much for the boost! I
needed it yesterday night. *hugs*..
Lisa O.
