I would do the exfoliating thing for a few days, try salt and lemon
juice togther (unless you have paper cuts! yeow!). Once the color
fades a bit, I'd redo the design. I've never done that on such an
extensive area, but it's generally a good way to correct smudgies...
the smudges usually fade quicker anyway, and they will look paler in
comparison to the new design.

What do you wrap with? I rely on cotton to keep my design in place,
after either newskin or LOTS of l/s solution. I apply stretchy gauze
roll over that, then plastic wrap and an ace bandage. I've had very
little problem with the henna moving, almost none in fact.
