why?Posted by samantha on May 16, 2001 at 10:46:26: I made a batch of henna up yesterday (ingredients below)so i coulddecorate my hand last night. the henna had been siffted twice by me and I made sure as always that the consistency was correct when it was mixed. After a few hours of sitting in the airing cubbard (the henna not me LOL) I brought it out and began. I noticed that after using it for about 15mins it had started to become thinner and slightly runny. Why is this? any ideas would be appreciated as i have my first event in 8 days and don't want it to happen again INGREDIENTS AND METHOD 1 mug of bottled water 4 teaspoons of Ceylon tea 1 teaspoon of arabic coffee (as an experimemt) 1/3 teaspoon sugar a few squirts of lemon a few drops of tea tree oil (an experiment) left to boil down by half then cool once cooled seived and reheated henna then mixed in and popped into a carrot bag and placed in the airing cubbard for 7 hours. what did i do wrong? As for carrot bags, well, I am used to rolling my own cones and the plastic is stiffer than the CB. The CB when filled with henna is like one of those exec toys. All sort of floppy and gooey. Suppose it's what you are used to. I'll keep on trying with it
