I remember my first masshenna event...looking back on it I was totally unprepared and yet I managed to do one of CCJ's asian dragons (sweating bullets the whole time). You can practice and practice, but there is nothing like a real event to find out what you are made of. I am sure you will rise to the occasion, if only because you have to. One more thing, I think you will be surprised at how pleased people are with your work. I don't feel like the best artist in the world and feel I can copy designs pretty well, if painstakingly, and yet when I am finished hennaing, I often find that the client is really pleased. I think that they think you are going to do a transfer or something and are amazed that you can do any design freehand. It seems as if human nature has been programmed to think it can't draw and that only talented people can draw, and thus they look on those who can draw with awe. You will do a great job. Let us know how it goes!
