Joe, I understand what you are saying especially after the experienceyou had.
I have a tube of Navaids Henna Paste. The ingredients listed are:
Natural Henna Powder-Tartaric Acid-Alcohol-Synthetic Colour-Mineral
Water
I have only tried a tiny test spot and it stains more like ink and
lasts only 3 or 4 days. I doesn't give the black velvet like the
PPDs.
