There is a parking lotwhere they have an "art and antiques fair". It ends up being more like a swapmeet, or a junk sale, depending on your perspective. I thought because it was in a pretty chic neighborhood I could do well...I sold my jewelry there one time and tried henna another time. both times were almost total washouts for me. The main population of the buyers were middle aged and older men looking for bargains on power tools. They get there at 6 am to pick through the stuff before all the riff raff arrive. I had some good conversations with these guys but not many sales. After noon the place fills up with Prada clad crowd who just come to look and take in the local color; they don't buy much either. That said, I think you should give it a try. Every town and neighborhood is different; you might have the right mix and do great business. In this fair described above, the booth fee is $80 so it really isn't worth it. Your swapmeet might have more favorable conditio
