I respectfully disagree with this point. I don't believe that colored henna always wins out over natural henna. Some people think they prefer colored henna but once they have an experience with the natural and traditional form of henna they never go back. I have clients who love the orange color you get from removing the paste too soon...they don't want it to get dark. Natural henna is not just about color but about an experience, kinship with the artist, being pampered, getting in touch with an ancient tradition, learning something new. Many people prefer that to just having some black or colored henna slapped on them with a cry of "next!" ringing out over their head once the application is completed. In terms of making the big bucks, I don't think henna--traditional or colored--is the way to go. I find that I am making more money the more time I spend with my clients. I trashed my $5 designs so no more kids who think this is just a temporary tattoo (have I said this enough yet?!). My prices are a little higher but that hasn't deterred people it just brings people who want a real experience and who are invested in quality. Also, those clients pass my name along to friends, keep coming back and hire me for special events. Like in most businesses, it's more about quality of product and
