i've used tamarind in place of lemon and didntreally notice any difference in the stain color.
check the ''ethnic'' spice section of your local
grocery store, i got mine at a Price Chopper in
the hispanic section. 4-5 dried fruit pod deals
for around $1.50
plant the seeds, they grow fast (but really dont
like cold).
