I turned to the I Ching at Catherine's suggestion but also because
there were events that I thought would be great for me and turned out
to be a total wash. And there were some events that were great one
year but sucked the next.

If the I ching isn't for you, find another method of tapping into
information from the universe. Try the Tarot or runes or whatever.
Just the effort of looking at your question from a different
perspective will yield very important information for your decision
making proc
