: I usually use cones but last festival, I used a Jacquard bottle.
It
: was only about five hours, but by the end I could not bend my thumb
: enough to squeeze the bottle. It was really sore for a couple
days,
: with shooting pains in the lower in-between-knuckle area that only
: extreme pressure relieved. I actually wrapped a rubber band around
: the area for a bit (although I took it off quickly, it felt better)
: It was slightly stiff but fine for a couple more days and I thought
: it was healed. This was two weeks ago. I did some more work with a
: bottle over this past weekend and it was slightly stiff but not
: actually painful. Then I got taken out to dinner and had lobster
: (oh, yum) and had difficulty applying enough pressure to crack the
: harder parts of the shell, and at one point the nutcracker-thing
they
: give you pressed exactly wrong spot and it hurt incredibly.
: All day today, it's hurt a lot, with pain all up and down the lower
: in-between-knuckle area and it feels bruised so it hurts to touch
it
: at the point where the thumb and finger bones come together near
the
: wrist and toward the webby part.
: What dod I do, wht can I do to help fix it, and how do those of you
: who use those bottles all the time cope with it?

First I take advil so any muscles I use will be relaxed(I do this
before i dance as well) I do finger excerises as if I were playing
the zills. For me I have no problem with the bottles, also if the
bottles are low it is harder on your fingers and if not used to
them. It is like anything you have to keep practicing now If I only
can master the zills I'll be all set :) me I have cone phobia, I
don't like using them. My best advice do henna with whatever you feel
confortable because you will be doing it for several hours. Also
will you be at Nadia's work shop in July? Christine
