My guess is that she's got cajeput EO or Tea Tree EO in that batch
(maybe Frankincense) or could be straight terpinol .... I've seen
those have that characteristic of not going to orange, but virtually
"rubbing off" clean! The henna molecules have been altered down the
bottom layer by the very small pinene and terpinene molecules. Does
it have a musty smell, a strong medicinal fresh smell or a fresh piney
smell?

There are a couple of other possibilities .... in the nearly 30 EO's
I just ordered to try out! Cajeput is from South East Asia, so that
would be my first guess.

Thanks for answering! I was hoping you'd follow this up, as I thought
this was something you'd described to me, but wasn't certain and it
was a long way back in the archives...
